According to the ancient health sciences of India, the hours of midday (between 11:00 and 3:00) are the time of the Fire element. This is the time when our bodies produce the most energy, and it needs some place to go - or else it accumulates inside us and makes us agitated. Doing yoga when the sun is at its highest frees our energy and helps set the tone for rest and relaxation throughout the remainder of the day.
